Preview: Bosque Bobcats vs. East Mountain Timberwolves

Bosque is 10-0 against East Mountain since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Bosque Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the East Mountain Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bosque has seven straight wins, East Mountain has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

In what's become a running theme this season, Bosque gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sandia Prep 60-19 at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Bosque had established a 32 point advantage.

Bosque's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Hautau led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 21 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Morris, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, East Mountain was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 39-38 to Cuba.

Bosque is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for East Mountain, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Bosque against East Mountain in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 57-25 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bosque since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
