Basketball Game Preview: Candlelight Christian Academy Flames vs. American Youth Academy Eagles

Candlelight Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriel Coste, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Those 18 points gave Coste a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronald Cordero, who went 8-for-13 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Candlelight Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Champions Christian Academy only posted four.

Meanwhile, American Youth Academy played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Keswick Christian and fell 69-22. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-13.

Candlelight Christian Academy will have to keep a close watch on Adam Ibrahim and Mehdi Faouatih, a pair of players who had a big impact on American Youth Academy's prior game. Ibrahim posted ten points, while Faouatih had eight points.
