Volleyball Recap: Grosse Pointe South Has No Trouble Against Renaissance

Grosse Pointe South not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Renaissance Phoenix as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

While Grosse Pointe South might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Renaissance scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-20.

Gabby DiVita paced Grosse Pointe South's offense, picking up 26 kills. DiVita got some help from Lucy Edwards and her 35 assists. Edwards was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Grosse Pointe South's victory bumped their record up to 16-18-2. As for Renaissance, they moved to 34-6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.

Grosse Pointe South has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Bloomfield Hills on the 11th. Renaissance does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
