Basketball Recap: Ohio E Takes a Loss

Ohio E was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 49-38 to Harvest Temple Christian Academy. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 62-25 back in December of 2024.

Xander Barnes went supernova for Harvest Temple Christian Academy, going 7 for 13 en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lucas Weirich, who posted nine points and eight boards.

Ohio E's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Harvest Temple Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ohio E has already played their next game (against Monclova Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Harvest Temple Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Northwest Ohio Christian Home Educators at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
