Baseball Recap: South Putnam Comes Up Short

South Putnam lost to Northview back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

South Putnam saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenny McDaniel, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

South Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Northview, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Putnam is set to face off against their familiar foe West Vigo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northview will challenge rival Brown County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
