Basketball Game Preview: Fort Lupton Bluedevils vs. Middle Park Panthers

The Fort Lupton Bluedevils will face off against the Middle Park Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Lupton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.

Last Thursday, Fort Lupton didn't have too much trouble with Englewood as they won 76-61. Given the Bluedevils' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Pirates are ranked 270th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Guillaume Nkiadiambu, who made all 10 shots he took for 24 points and eight boards. Javon Gonzales was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 15 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Fort Lupton was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Middle Park had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the Bulldogs.

Middle Park's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Fort Lupton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Fort Lupton strolled past Middle Park in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 76-60. Does Fort Lupton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Middle Park turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
