Football Game Preview: Konawaena Wildcats vs. Hilo Vikings + Official Tickets

Konawaena has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hilo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wildcats will head out to take on the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Konawaena is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

Konawaena is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Kea'au, who was ranked 20th at the time (Konawaena was ranked tenth). The Wildcats put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 39-14 victory on Saturday. Considering the Wildcats have won six matchups by more than 24 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Hilo slipped by Kamehameha Hawai'i 7-6 on Thursday. The seven-point effort marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Konawaena's record is now 7-2. As for Hilo, their record now sits at 6-4.

Everything went Konawaena's way against Hilo in their previous matchup back in September, as Konawaena made off with a 35-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
