Football Game Preview: John Champe Knights vs. Jefferson Cougars + Official Tickets

The John Champe Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Jefferson Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

John Champe barely beat Lightridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Bolts 23-3 on Friday. The Knights have beaten the Bolts the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bolts has come to flipping the script.

Tyler Kann continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 41 yards, while also picking up 34 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass.

Meanwhile, Jefferson made easy work of Musselman on Friday and carried off a 39-14 win.

The victory got Jefferson back to even at 4-4. As for John Champe, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
