Volleyball Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Viator Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Scouts of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

While Lake Forest had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Saint Viator, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-22.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Forest will head out to take on Evanston at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Viator, they will venture away from home to square off against Nazareth Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions are facing the Roadrunners at the right time seeing as the Roadrunners are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
