Basketball Recap: Crooksville Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Crooksville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Fisher Catholic Irish by a score of 50-38 on Monday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Ceramics' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while the Irish are ranked 269th).

Several Irish players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Sydney Snoke, who posted 11 points and eight boards. Snoke is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadli Gillum, who earned 12 points.

The victory snapped Crooksville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-9 record. As for Fisher Catholic, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Crooksville has already played their next matchup (against Philo), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fisher Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-10 win against Berne Union on the 15th.
