Football Recap: Spring Falls Despite Big Games from Vincent Lee and Landon Hathcock

It was a proper cat-fight when Spring faced off against Nimitz on Friday. The Lions lost 34-14 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 738th, while the Cougars are ranked 345th).

Spring's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Landon Hathcock, who rushed for 20 yards and two scores, and Vincent Lee, who rushed for 132 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Spring and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Nimitz, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Spring is set to face off against their familiar foe Aldine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Nimitz will challenge rival Dekaney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
