Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Emma Darnell and Olivia Haase Lead Seneca to Victory

There's no place like home for Seneca, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Crane Pirates on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

While Seneca might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Crane scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 16-25, 25-20.

Seneca was led to victory by Olivia Haase and Emma Darnell. Haase had 11 digs, while Darnell had seven digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Darnell a new career-high in assists (34). Jaycie Graham also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Seneca was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 4-7-1. As for Crane, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6-1 record this season.

Seneca wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Jasper on the 9th. Crane has also already played their next contest (against Chadwick), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
