Basketball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a proper cat-fight when Lakewood duked it out with D'Evelyn on Saturday. The Tigers took a hard 73-56 fall against the Jaguars. The Tigers were down 58-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Lakewood still got an impressive performance from Ben Kerchner, who went 10-for-16 on his way to 28 points. That was a full 50% of the Tigers' points, marking the third time in a row Kerchner has posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Malachi Straughter, who had eight points.

Lakewood's record is now 0-3. As for D'Evelyn, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Lakewood will welcome Wheat Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for D'Evelyn, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bear Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
