Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Takes a Loss

Mt. Zion lost against Civic Memorial back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Braves took a blow against the Eagles, falling 55-24. The loss put an end to the Braves' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mt. Zion fell to 2-1. As for Civic Memorial, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mt. Zion will take on Sullivan at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Civic Memorial, they will take on Taylorville in a tournament on Saturday.
