Valiant Cross Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Springwood Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 81-62. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Springwood lost, don't look at Kori Key. Despite the final result, he posted 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Clarence Moore, who had 16 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valiant Cross Academy will welcome Success Unlimited Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Springwood, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against The Rock Academy at 7:30 p.m.
