Sunnyvale had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They escaped with a win against the Terrell Tigers by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Terrell is on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sunnyvale will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Mabank at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Terrell, they will take on Village Tech at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' defense better be ready for this one: the Viper Squid have averaged an impressive 57.2 points per game this season.
