Basketball Recap: Eastmoor Academy Comes Up Short

Eastmoor Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2024 on Friday. They took a blow against the Africentric Early College Nubians, falling 71-41. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-23 back in December of 2024.

It was another big night for Jae?Veyonna Brown, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 11 boards for Africentric Early College. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2024. Jeniya Bowers was another key player, putting up 14 points.

With the defeat, Eastmoor Academy broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-10. As for Africentric Early College, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Eastmoor Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-38 victory against Briggs on the 28th. Africentric Early College has also already played their next matchup, a 54-38 loss against Westerville South on the 25th.
