If Highland wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Quartz Hill, they should've done a better job of containing Ty'Jahwuan Jackson. The Royals walked away with a 68-55 victory over the Bulldogs on Wednesday with plenty of help from Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 19 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last 36 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Julian Henriquez, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten boards. He is becoming a predictor of Quartz Hill's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

The win made it two in a row for Quartz Hill and bumps their season record up to 5-2. As for Highland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Quartz Hill won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Torrance at 4:20 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Tartars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Highland, they will face off against Knight at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
