Recap: Union Grove Wolverines vs. Warner Robins Demons
The Union Grove Wolverines are still undefeated this season after their game against the Warner Robins Demons on Thursday, but the Warner Robins Demons came as close as anyone has to beating them. Union Grove narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Warner Robins 60-57. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Union Grove can attribute much of their success to Jordan Brooks, who scored 22 points. Brooks is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now stole two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadea Smith, who scored 14 points.
Union Grove's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Warner Robins, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Union Grove will head out on the road to face off against Ola at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ola will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 360th, while Union Grove is ranked third). As for Warner Robins, they will be playing at home against Peach County at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
