The Millennium Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Alhambra Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Millennium barely beat San Luis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on the Sidewinders with a sharp 8-2 win on Monday.

Brady Perrin and Chase Fillman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Perrin pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Fillman tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, Perrin posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At the plate, Perrin got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Fillman went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Perrin is becoming a predictor of Millennium's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 8-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ty Burson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Juan Cuen was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Alhambra). Their pitcher stepped up to hand North a 31-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Lions, who have now won seven contests in a row.
Christopher Martinez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and four runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alan Ledon, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one triple.
Alhambra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .804. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Millennium's record now sits at 13-9. As for Alhambra, their record is now 17-5-1.
Millennium came out on top in a nail-biter against Alhambra when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
