Basketball Recap: West Caldwell Takes a Loss

West Caldwell lost against Bandys back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The West Caldwell Warriors were beaten by the Bandys Trojans 64-32. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 454th, while the Trojans are ranked 161st).

Addison Bell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bandys, going 9-for-17 to rack up 26 points and three steals. The game was Bell's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lexi Vaughan, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

West Caldwell's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Bandys, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Caldwell will venture away from home to square off against East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Burke will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something West Caldwell surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bandys, they will head out on the road to challenge Bunker Hill at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Bandys is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.
