Softball Recap: Rappahannock County Comes Up Short

Rappahannock County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Stonewall Jackson Generals, falling 15-5. Rappahannock County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Stonewall Jackson apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.

Rappahannock County's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Stonewall Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rappahannock County will welcome Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Stonewall Jackson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Strasburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Generals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
