Jefferson put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 5-1 win over the Musselman Applemen. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly four runs.

Jett Gross looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Cole Smith was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Teagan Moulton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Musselman, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will face off against Saint James at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Musselman, they will challenge Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hampshire has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed nine runs per game on average), something Musselman will no doubt try to take advantage of.
