The Peniel Baptist Academy Warriors will challenge the Trinity Christian Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Monday, Peniel Baptist Academy got the win against Countryside Christian by a conclusive 17-4.

Alexis Peacock made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on McKenzie Zurn, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Peacock, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-5.
Peniel Baptist Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Countryside Christian only posted an OBP of .385.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Sandcrabs 14-4.
Jenessa Pomales made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Pomales was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Trinity Christian Academy let Charleigh Morasse and Melany Martinez run wild. Morasse scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Martinez went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those doubles marked the first that Martinez hit this season. Nataly Martinez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Trinity Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Peniel Baptist Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Peniel Baptist Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .548. However, it's not like Trinity Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .489.
