Maricopa entered their tilt with Sunnyside on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 21-14 win over the Blue Devils.

Jose Cardona Jr was his usual excellent self, throwing for 184 yards and two TDs, while also rushing for 64 yards and one score on only seven carries. A healthy portion of Cardona Jr's aerial production (80 yards to be exact) went to Julian Lopez, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Sunnyside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Maricopa wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-9 win against Nogales on the 24th. As for Sunnyside, they have also already played their next matchup, a 43-0 loss against Flowing Wells on the 24th.
