Soccer Recap: South Tahoe Beats North Tahoe for Their Fourth Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, South Tahoe rose to the challenge on Saturday. They won by a goal and slipped past the North Tahoe Lakers 1-0. That's two games straight that South Tahoe have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Lillia Verduzco, who's now up to 37 this season.

The win (which was South Tahoe's fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for North Tahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 16-4-1.

South Tahoe and North Tahoe are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Vikings will face off against Equipo Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Equipo Academy's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for North Tahoe, they will challenge Virgin Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
