Football Game Preview: Pensacola Tigers vs. Booker T. Washington Wildcats

The Pensacola Tigers will face off against the Booker T. Washington Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pensacola has given up an average of 33.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Thursday, Pensacola ended up a good deal behind Bay and lost 47-28. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Tornadoes: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Pensacola got top-tier performance from Jamarcuz Fountain, who threw for 233 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 94 yards and one TD on only 11 carries. 85 of Fountain's passing yards were hauled in by Josh Quiles, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 34 points the game before, Booker T. Washington was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They took a hard 22-3 fall against Escambia. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Pensacola's record is now 1-4. As for Booker T. Washington, the defeat was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 3-2.

Everything went Pensacola's way against Booker T. Washington in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Pensacola made off with a 23-0 victory. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
