Basketball Recap: Colonia Comes Up Short

Colonia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 46-31 bruising from the Old Bridge Knights. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 51-39.

Colonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Old Bridge, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Colonia and Old Bridge could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. Colonia (ranked 275th) will meet St. Thomas Aquinas (ranked 24th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Old Bridge will take on Hillsborough at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday down 204 places (226 vs. 22).
