Football Recap: Whitman Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Whitman and Kennedy squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Whitman had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Cavaliers 50-8. The Vikings were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kennedy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ziaire Mays, who threw for 270 yards and four TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave Mays a new career-high. Marc Williams was another key pass catcher, gaining 72 total yards and two touchdowns.

Whitman's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Kennedy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Whitman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennedy, they will take on Sherwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 826 yards in their previous games.
