Baseball Recap: Simi Valley Takes a Loss

Simi Valley fell victim to El Dorado and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Hawks. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Simi Valley got a good showing from Greg Lopez, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lopez has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Simi Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for El Dorado, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Looking ahead, Simi Valley will face off against Kennedy at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for El Dorado, they have already played their next matchup, a 17-4 win against Sprague on the 24th.
