Clifton is a perfect 10-0 against Eastside since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mustangs will welcome the Ghosts at 4:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Clifton is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game dating back to last season on Wednesday. They lost 18-2 to Lakeland Regional.

Clifton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josephine Zagorski, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Stephanie Flete was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Eastside's offense. They came up short against Wayne Hills on Wednesday, falling 17-0. The Ghosts have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Clifton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastside, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Everything went Clifton's way against Eastside in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Clifton made off with a 21-1 victory. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Ghosts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
