Football Recap: Martin Luther King Comes Up Short

Martin Luther King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 20-14 heartbreaker at the hands of the Belmont Charter Tigers. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

Martin Luther King's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Belmont Charter, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martin Luther King will welcome Central at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belmont Charter, they will face off against Mastery Charter North - Pickett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
