Basketball Recap: Collierville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Collierville strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the University Tigers as they made off with a 71-50 win. Fans of the Dragons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collierville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amyah Palmer, who posted ten points and five boards. Fran Kelly was another key player, going 5-for-11 on her way to 12 points.

Collierville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Collierville's record is now 3-0. As for University, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Collierville will take on Columbus at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University, they will challenge Ezell-Harding Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
