Football Recap: Enfield Comes Up Short

Enfield extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-3. They were dealt a 52-7 loss at the hands of the Windsor Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Warriors are ranked 15th).

Sawyer Pequita threw for 69 yards and one touchdown. Travis Rivera was his top target, picking up 37 receiving yards.

As for Windsor, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 39.4 points this season.

Anthony Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 329 yards and five TDs while completing 76% of his passes, and also rushing for 35 yards and one score. Robinson is crushing it when it comes to passing yards: he's passed for at least 303 every time he's taken the field this season. Robert McKinney was another key player, rushing for 103 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Enfield and Windsor will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Eagles see the field they'll take on East Hartford at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Windsor, their break will end when they face Conard at 6:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
