Volleyball Recap: Wheatland Takes a Loss

Wheatland lost against Newcastle back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dogies. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Wheatland started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-11, 25-16, 25-15.

Wheatland's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for Newcastle, they pushed their record up to 15-17 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Wheatland will face off against Cody on Thursday. As for Newcastle, they will take on Lovell on Thursday.
