Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

In Monday's Canine Competition, Lexington didn't have enough. They fell 14-9 to the Davis Wolves on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Wolves recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lexington saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James McMillan, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another was Colby Haynes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Lexington's defeat dropped their record down to 22-7. As for Davis, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

While Lexington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
