Basketball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Tri-West Hendricks won the last time they faced Perry Meridian and Aniyah Anthony did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bruins came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 52-45 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Anthony, who went 7-for-16 on her way to 15 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Aubrey Hall and Addy Short certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Hall shot 46% from the field en route to 16 points, while Short posted ten points and six boards.

Tri-West Hendricks has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 59.0 points this season. As for Perry Meridian, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Tri-West Hendricks will square off against University at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Perry Meridian, they will take on Decatur Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
