Baseball Recap: Goochland Comes Up Short

Goochland lost against Albemarle back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 8-7.

Goochland now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Albemarle, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goochland will take on Western Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Albemarle, they will square off against James River Midlothian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rapids have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
