Basketball Recap: Union Takes a Loss

Union lost against North Clarion back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Union Knights/Damsels were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 51-50 to the North Clarion Wolves.

Union lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Trent Fleming, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 11 points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Renwick, who posted nine points and five assists.

Union has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for North Clarion, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Union will head out to take on Moniteau at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Union is facing Moniteau at the right time seeing as Moniteau is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. North Clarion has already played their next contest (against Allegheny-Clarion Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
