Volleyball Recap: Curtis Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Curtis waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past Puyallup 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Curtis was led to victory by Elaina Duong and Kathryn Harris. Duong had 11 digs and two aces, while Harris had 29 assists and 16 digs. Harris is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 23 games she's played dating back to last season.

They weren't the only good servers: Curtis was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Curtis' victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for Puyallup, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine matches and leaves them with a 15-5 record.

Curtis has already played their next match (against Olympia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Puyallup, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Emerald Ridge on the 8th.
