Basketball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 46-26 to the Plaza Heights Christian Academy Lions.

Luke Jones had another great game (as he tends to do), putting up ten points along with eight boards and five steals for Plaza Heights Christian Academy. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. George Carpenter was another key player, posting six points and nine rebounds.

Midway's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Looking ahead, Midway will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Lutheran at 8:00 p.m. As for Plaza Heights Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Clinton Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Lions their first taste of in-conference action this season.
