Volleyball Recap: Immanuel Christian Falls Short of Wonderful College Prep Academy in the Playoffs

Immanuel Christian and Wonderful College Prep Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Immanuel Christian had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

Ava Blakie paced Immanuel Christian's offense, picking up eight kills. Blakie got some help from Neisha Schollars and her 14 assists. Finally, Blakie was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high seven blocks.

Daniela Macias produced another solid effort getting 14 kills, seven digs, and four aces for Wonderful College Prep Academy. With that strong performance, Macias is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game. Selena Rico was another key player, getting five kills and five digs.

Immanuel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they pushed their record up to 25-8-2 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.
