Volleyball Game Preview: John Jay Patriots vs. North Rockland Raiders

The John Jay Patriots will take on the North Rockland Raiders at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

John Jay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Clarkstown South with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

John Jay was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-13, 25-19.

Meanwhile, North Rockland made easy work of Ketcham last Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

While North Rockland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-14.

John Jay's win bumped their record up to 26-6-3. As for North Rockland, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.

John Jay beat North Rockland 3-1 when the teams last played back in October. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
