Soccer Recap: Auburndale Takes a Loss

Auburndale was the 2-1 winner over Bartow when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Bartow Yellow Jackets who were credited with the victory on Tuesday. The Bartow Yellow Jackets got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Auburndale Bloodhounds' three. The Bloodhounds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Auburndale's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Bartow, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1-1.

Auburndale will host Poinciana at 7:30 p.m. on December 11th. Auburndale is facing Poinciana at the right time seeing as Poinciana is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Bartow has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lake Wales on the 7th.
