Flag Football Recap: Cherokee Skates Past Colquitt County with Ease

While Cherokee put up plenty of points on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Colquitt County. The Warriors blew past the Packers 34-0. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won five matchups by 20 points or more so far this season.

Gracie Mayo produced another solid performance throwing for 196 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 44 yards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in passer rating (112).

Cherokee's run defense was locked in: Colquitt County could only muster 2.8 yards per carry. The Warriors didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.5.

The win (which was Cherokee's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 0.0 points on average over those games. As for Colquitt County, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Cherokee and Colquitt County will both be playing South Forsyth the next time they take the field. The Packers will head out to face the War Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
