Volleyball Recap: Cicero Prep Academy Finds Playoff Glory Versus San Simon

It's playoff time, and Cicero Prep Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the San Simon Longhorns 3-0 on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Centurions as they're now sitting on four straight.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-3, 25-17.

Cicero Prep Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sasha Hruby out in front who had six aces. Those six aces gave Hruby a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Engber, who had four digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Cicero Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 11 consecutive matches.

Cicero Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 26-9. As for San Simon, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-17.

Cicero Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Mogollon on the 7th. San Simon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
