Buckeye Local and Shadyside are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Buckeye Local needed a bit of extra time to put away Catholic Central. They came out on top against the Crusaders by a score of 10-6. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Meanwhile, Shadyside beat Shenandoah 6-3 on Thursday.

The victory got Shadyside back to even at 11-11. As for Buckeye Local, their record now sits at 7-16.

Buckeye Local was able to grind out a solid win over Shadyside when the teams last played on Tuesday, winning 5-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
