Meeker had won six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-2 to make it seven. They walked away with a 46-34 victory over the North Fork Miners. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cowboys also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Cade Mills threw for 84 yards and one touchdown. Samuel Conrado was his top target, picking up 52 receiving yards. On the ground, Tristin Rollins rushed for 139 yards and one TD.

As for North Fork, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. Their loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

North Fork's loss came despite strong showings from Braeden Flores and Mazzden Balko. Flores rushed for 134 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while Balko rushed for 57 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries. Balko also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making six total tackles.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Meeker will take on Olathe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Fork, they will challenge Grand Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Miners will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 42.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
