Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fairfield). They never let the Cisne Runnin' Lions get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Mules in their matchups with the Runnin' Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Kenry Hutchcraft made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 12 contests.

In other batting news, Fairfield got a massive performance out of Alivia Rice, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two runs gave Rice a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Serenity Dagg, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Fairfield kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.8.

Fairfield's record is now 11-4. As for Cisne, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will take on Edwards County at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cisne, they will challenge Mt. Carmel at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Aces' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Runnin' Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
