Baseball Game Preview: West Hall Spartans vs. Flowery Branch Falcons

The West Hall Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Flowery Branch Falcons at 5:55 p.m. on Wednesday. West Hall is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, West Hall came up short against Apalachee and fell 8-5.

Connor Toledo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Drew Svetz was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Toledo wasn't the only one working in the hit department: West Hall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apalachee only managed six hits.

Meanwhile, Flowery Branch also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Blessed Trinity by a score of 8-4. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Titans: they've now lost three in a row.

West Hall's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Flowery Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

West Hall suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Flowery Branch in their previous meeting back in March of 2020. Can West Hall avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
